because we all united, should share a meal on Christmas Day...
Sydney visual artist & storyteller Melissa Mladin Lowgren of Kishikaa takes you on a whimsical journey through the expression of her art
Following on from the highly successful “Finding Her Neverland” solo exhibition, the next chapter in artist and storyteller Melissa Mladin Lowgrens fairytale comes, “Lumivita, a dance with the shadow and the light”
“this collection dips into a “way of being” neither the archetypes of the past discussed by psychologist Carl Jung or those more recently by intuitive Caroline Myss, but somehow just beneath… in a crack in the subconscious, a flickering light, 8 new archetypes of sorts, the essence of who can really be, the essence of who can really become.
But becoming is not without its dance… Shadow. Light. Shadow… Transformation. Evolution. Transformation… Lumivita. ….because for me, one cannot exist without the other.
What is an up, if there is no down?
What is a high, if there is no low?
What is happy, without sad?
Lumivita is a commitment to life,
to remind us of courage,
to join its dance,
to shine brightly,
to letting go,
to live a life full of passion,
to not take yourself to seriously,
8 rabbit holes,
8 magical new possibilities,
each an invitation …
to become a better you,
to a place where you truly feel alive,
to choose big, to choose bold,
but most importantly, to choose beautifully
…….you know, you just have to believe.”

Finding Her Neverland is a body of work and fairytale of the human spirit, our dreams, and redefining what’s possible.
Artist and story-teller Kishikaa (Melissa Mladin-Löwgren) describes her works as this “These are my fairytales captured, painted, told. The detailed works I call my chapters, page after page, layer after layer, adding, subtracting, hiding, revealing, until a resolution is felt based from memory & the part of the story being told. The more simplistic works are my pages within the chapters, a snapshot in time of a moment remembered that deeply touched my life”
Drawing inspiration from Jungian archetypes, intuition, and colour, to deeply engage imagination and senses, Finding Her Neverland will take you on an unforgettable journey where dreams really do come true.
